A new talent has emerged on the block and is garnering attention from some of Europe’s biggest clubs. MLS starlet Gabriel ‘Gaga’ Slonina, who plays for Chicago Fire and the United States U20 team, is only 17 years but now has the eyes of the footballing world on him.
Of Polish descent, Slonina only just made his professional career debut with the MLs club, after becoming the second youngest signing in MLS history and the youngest signing ever for the Chicago club.
According to recent reports from Tuttosport (via Bolavip), European heavyweights Juventus and Manchester United are interested in the services of the youngster, who has been compared to Atletico Madrid’s Slovenian great Jan Oblak.
The 2004-born goalkeeper is 6 feet 4 inches, prompting comparisons with other shotstoppers who are currently in their prime.
He made his MLS debut in August 2021 in a stalemate draw against New York City.
The report mentions of Juventus acting fast to sign the youngster, but also mentions the presence of the Red Devils, who are looking for David De Gea’s understudy.
