Juventus Free-Agent Plans Target Napoli Goalkeeper

Masters of free transfers Juventus have never shied away from on boarding an individual – irrespective of age – whose contract expires soon enough. After being linked to soon-to-be Monchengladbach midfield ace Denis Zakaria, the Bianconeri are keen to add a goalkeeper who can give better competition to Wojciech Szczesny.

According to TUTTOmercatoweb, Colombia shot stopper David Ospina is being targeted for a move to Turin.

The 33-year-old Napoli man has so far been rock solid for the Serie A table toppers, having conceded just three goals and seven clean sheets in ten outings this campaign.

With a contract expiring in June 2022 – just like other Bianconeri targets Alessandro Romagnoli, Denis Zakaria and Paul Pogba – Ospina will serve as a short-term solution for Juventus’ goalkeeping needs.

The former Arsenal goalkeeper is well-known for his agile and athletic reflexes that make him one of Serie A’s most cherished guardians in goal.

He has made 80 appearances for Napoli so far, since moving from the Gunners in the 2018/19 season.
