Juventus Fullback Touted for Premier League Transfer

Fulham and West Ham have laid their eyes on Luca Pellegrini, whom Juventus are open to selling for an adequate fee. The Cottagers are currently leading the race to acquire the 23-year-old. He logged 18 appearances in his lone season with the Bianconeri. The ever-busy Monza have taken an interest as well.

According to SportMediaset, the Old Lady wishes to get €15M for the defender but could settle for €10M on the nail. They would prefer getting rid of Alex Sandro in the same role. However, the veteran is not too keen on transferring with the World Cup just around the corner. He will most likely leave on a free when his contract runs out in 2013.

Juventus plan to replace Pellegrini with Andrea Cambiaso. They are on the brink of striking a deal with Genoa. Their package will include young center-back Radu Dragusin, if he signs off on the destination.

The Fulham target was onboarded by the Bianconeri, with a €22M valuation, in a partial swap with Leonardo Spinazzola with Roma in 2019. He spent time on loan at Cagliari and Genoa. He has appeared in 69 Serie A matches, providing 10 assists.

Our Take on Juventus Potentially Selling Pellegrini

The youngster has been decent last season, where he often outplayed his older teammate, but does not seem to have the potential to become a star contributor in the role. Cambiaso is just a year younger, but he was a late bloomer and probably has a higher ceiling. Rather than on the technical elements, the management is likely focusing more on the economic aspect, though. They would rake in decent cash and save on wages with this move.
