Juventus Growing Tired of Adrien Rabiot’s Lackadaisical Attitude

Adrien Rabiot’s future at Juventus hangs by a thread as the Bianconeri chiefs have grown tired of the Frenchman’s indifference, claims Gazzetta dello Sport. Reluctant to provide any response to the club’s extension proposal as he fights for France at Euro 2024, the 29-year-old has compromised his prospects in Turin.

Juventus have gone above and beyond to extend Rabiot’s expiring deal. The Italians have offered his entourage a lucrative three-year contract package worth €7.5m per season plus bonuses and the promise he’ll succeed Danilo as the team’s captain. However, the midfielder’s camp remains radio-silent.

Rabiot’s flagrant attitude regarding his Juventus future is getting on fans’ nerves. He did the same last summer, keeping the club wait until the final days of his contract before penning a short-term extension. As his new deal expires on June 30th, Juventus are unwilling to relive the same scenario again.

Instead of waiting for Euro 2024 to finish before understanding the player’s real intentions, Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli will meet Rabiot’s entourage in the coming days to gain information. If there’s no concrete response, the record-time Italian champions will turn to other targets to strengthen Thiago Motta’s midfield department.

With the impending arrival of Douglas Luiz, Juventus have already addressed one issue by capturing a top-class midfield anchor. The Brazilian was supposed to join forces with Rabiot, who has recently drawn inquiries from Real Madrid.

However, if Rabiot does leave, Juventus could rekindle interest in Teun Koopmeiners amidst their ongoing quest to sign Nice’s Khephren Thuram.
