Juventus Hoping Fiorentina Do Not Sell Vlahovic This Summer

Juventus are not among the contenders for Dusan Vlahovic this summer. However, things could drastically change in 2022. The Bianconeri want to make a run at the Fiorentina starlet to properly replace Cristiano Ronaldo in a year, La Nazione reports.

The Viola president Rocco Commisso has had some inconsistent remarks regarding the starlet in recent days. He most recently told Rai: “I never put Vlahovic on the market. I offered him the most important contract in the history of the club. I hope he signs it. Then we will see what will happen in the future.”

“Fiorentina never suggested that he is available. However, a lot is going on around him. His agents and the teams that want him are making a fuss. But we never received the right offer to sell him. Even if it did arrive, I do not think he would leave.”

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Atletico Madrid and the other suitors are pessimistic about the outcome of their pursuit. Manchester City have been linked to him, but there is nothing concrete at the moment. The Citizens are focusing exclusively on Harry Kane. Instead, Tottenham have indeed shortlisted him for that scenario. While Fiorentina received bids upward of €60M, their owner set the price tag closer to €100M.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the Viola are pondering a stunning move. They are considering giving the center-forward a conspicuous pay raise without adding more years to his contract. The stratagem would guarantee his permanence in this window, but also his sale next summer.
