Juventus Identify Dybala Heir, Expected to Miss Out on Scamacca

Juventus have reportedly identified the heir to Paulo Dybala in the Bianconeri jersey. The Argentine playmaker is bound to leave Allianz Stadium at the end of the season, when his contract expires, and his current stance with the Old Lady management doesn’t seem to be doing him any favors.

According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport (via TUTTOmercatoweb), Sassuolo strike sensation Giacomo Raspadori will be La Joya’s direct replacement. Juventus have been linked heavily to his teammate Gianluca Scamacca but the arrival of Dusan Vlahovic pushes the La Vecchia Signora attention elsewhere.

Scamacca looks likely to be heading to Inter, whereas Raspadori’s future is still up in the air.

The 21-year-old center-forward has spent all his professional playing career in the ranks of the Neroverdi, having made his debut in 2019. Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri ‘has been following developments surrounding Raspadori with interest for several weeks now’, and with his contract set to expire in June 2024, Juventus may well be in the race to sign him.

Raspadori has a transfermarkt value of €20m, making him surprisingly cheap in the upcoming summer transfer window at the start of the next season. However, Sassuolo expect nothing less than €35m for the striker.

The report by Gazzetta also mentions of the wages to be provided by Juventus, who will offer the youngster terms of contract in line with former Sassuolo talent Manuel Locatelli, who earns around €3m net per season.

For Dybala, however, the situation at Juventus seems to be rather bleak. Several top clubs are expected to fight for his signature at the end of the season.
