Juventus Identify Two Crucial Winter Targets

Following an atypically quiet summer transfer window, Juventus return to the drawing board to reinforce their squad amid a genuine Scudetto push. As per Gazzetta dello Sport (via Tuttojuve), the record-time Serie A champions have identified two targets ahead of the January transfer window.

Despite moving to the top of the standings with a nerve-shredding 2-1 win at Monza on Friday, scoring has been a glaring issue for Juventus this season. Among the sides fighting for a top-four finish, their 22-goal tally is the least impressive. Therefore, Sassuolo’s Domenico Berardi has landed on the Bianconeri radar again.

Berardi’s rumored return to Juventus has turned into a soap opera. For years, the Italian media outlets have been linking the left-footed winger with a reunion with the Turin giants. With Sassuolo experiencing a disappointing start to the season, now could be a perfect time to turn speculation into a reality.

However, Berardi is not the only name on Massimilano Allegri’s shortlist. Losing Paul Pogba and Nicolo Fagioli to suspension has created an emergency crisis in the engine room. Juventus would reportedly try to address the shortage of reliable midfield options with the signing of Borussia Monchengladbach’s rising star Manu Kone.

Kone has earned a reputation as a prodigious talent for his sterling form at Gladbach. While enjoying a rise to stardom in the Bundesliga, he has attracted interest from numerous top European clubs, including Juventus. But the Italians may need to open their checkbook to get a deal over the line as the midfielder’s contract runs out in 2026.
