Juventus in the Mix for Two Barcelona-Linked Strikers

Juventus might take a flier on one of the veteran strikers available to address their scoring woes in January. The Bianconeri have netted the least goals out of the top 12 Serie A teams. Since it is improbable that they will land Dusan Vlahovic, they could go for a temporary solution.

In particular, Juventus are eyeing Alexandre Lacazette and Edinson Cavani, Calciomercato.com reports. The Frenchman is on an expiring contract. He was could be on his way out of Arsenal in the next window already.

The former Napoli marksman also has only a few months left on his deal with Manchester United. Barcelona are pursuing both players too and want the Uruguayan on loan. They are looking for a replacement for Sergio Aguero, who just announced his retirement due to heart issues. Corinthians are tracking El Matador as well. In both instances, the rich wages represent a major obstacle.

The Bianconeri are keeping a watchful eye on Mauro Icardi as well, Tuttosport reports. The 28-year-old is looking for a team where he could have a bigger role. He was one of the strikers specifically requested by Massimiliano Allegri to the Juventus management last summer.

On the other hand, his price tag is superior to what they could afford at the moment. The Old Lady is contemplating a swap with Arthur. The Brazilian midfielder has fallen out of favor in Turin, but he might have some fans in Paris. Director Leonardo has often signed Serie A players. An exchange of loans could satisfy both teams.
