Juventus Intend to Make Further Attempts to Sign Zaniolo

Juventus already pursued Nicolò Zaniolo in the past, and they plan to do it again next summer. After signing Manuel Locatelli, the Bianconeri want to bring in more Italian talents. They are eyeing also Gianluca Scamacca and Davide Frattesi on top of the Roma attacker.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, the Old Lady will try to exploit a little wedge between the Giallorossi and their starlet. He is under the contract until 2024, but he has yet to receive the new deal he is waiting for. His agent Claudio Vigorelli and CEO Tiago Pinto met in early January, with no advancements in the talks.

The parties will have another summit in the next couple of weeks, Il Messaggero reports. Zaniolo currently earns €2.3M and aims to receive a pay bump up to €3.5M plus add-ons. Roma could very well grant it, but it would not completely rule out a future departure, the specialized site adds.

Zaniolo was one of the top targets for Juventus when Fabio Paratici was at the helm. Only the timing of his major injuries obstructed their chase. The Bianconeri are after him regardless of what will happen with Paulo Dybala. Tottenham, the current side of their former director, would be in the mix as well if Roma provided an opening. It would take at least €50M to lure him away from the Italian Capital, Corriere dello Sport informs. The mammoth sale would allow his club to bankroll multiple additions, a scenario that is not totally out of the realms of possibilities.
