Juventus Take Interest in Borussia Dortmund Speedster

Juventus are scouring the market for new wingers and the latest name to pop up on their radar is Karim Adeyemi, who can play on either flank and centrally. Borussia Dortmund tracked Dean Huijsen and Matias Soulé in previous windows, La Gazzetta dello Sport informs.

The two sides are competing for Jadon Sancho, whom the Bundesliga side wants back. However, the request by Manchester United is sizeable. That’s the case also for another Bianconeri target, Mason Greenwood.

Juventus would have to lodge a conspicuous bid for Adeyemi, but he’s not untouchable for Borussia Dortmund. They intend to reunite with the Englishman and give Jamie Binoe-Gittens more minutes.

The German team is looking for a defender to replace Mats Hummels, and Huijsen would be handy. However, the Old Lady is considering inserting him in their bid for Teun Koopmeiners.

The 22-year-old doesn’t exclusively feature wide and would be able to serve as a backup striker in a pinch. He has notched 14 goals and 8 assists in 66 matches with Die Schwarzgelben. He was signed for €30M from RB Leipzig two years ago. He’s under contract until 2027. His wages are manageable.

Our Take on Juventus and Adeyemi

Thiago Motta has wrangled a few speedsters during his short time in the dugout, but he’ll probably be very pricey unless they can throw one of their youngsters into the deal. Surely, it’s a lot more advisable to invest in a permanent acquisition rather than just take a flier on somebody on loan, as good as he may be.
