Juventus Investigated for Discriminatory Behaviour

Juventus could be in some more trouble as they are being investigated by UEFA once again. This time, it would be due to discriminatory behavior from their supporters.

The alleged instances occurred on Tuesday during the Bianconeri‘s 2-1 defeat away to PSG in the Champions League. Videos circulated on social media with some Juve supporters making monkey gestures at the Parc des Princes. UEFA is currently investigating the matter, releasing a statement on Wednesday about the incident.

From UEFA:

In accordance with Article 31(4) of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations, a UEFA Ethics and Disciplinary Inspector has been appointed to conduct a disciplinary investigation regarding allegations of discriminatory behaviour by Juventus supporters at the 2022/23 UEFA Champions League group stage match between Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus played on 6 September in France.

Information on this matter will be made available in due course.”

This is not the first time of late that Juve has been under the watchful eye of UEFA. They are also being watched by European football’s governing body over their financial fair play situation.
