Juventus, Bayern and Real Madrid in Transfer Race for Ajax Starlet

Dutch talent Ryan Gravenberch graduated from the Ajax youth academy amid much demand from the footballing world. The 19-year-old holding midfielder was promoted to the senior side when he was only 16 – a fact thst further consolidates his stature one of the most promising youth players of the current generation.

With increased presence in the spotlight comes the increase in demand, and it looks like Juventus have taken a special interest in the teenage talent. Calciomercato reports of the rising interest in Gravenberch from Turin, as the Bianconeri look to take advantage of the club’s relations with the youngster’s agent – none other than Italian-Dutch agent Mino Raiola, who also represents Matthijs De Ligt.

Juventus negotiated a similar deal to bring in the Dutch stopper from Ajax a couple of years ago.

Gravenberch’s contract in Amsterdam expires in the summer of next year, giving Ajax a very narrow window in order to offer a contract renewal deal. They would rather see him leave for a fee than lose his on a Bosman deal a year later.

Juventus are not the only ones keeping close tabs on the youth talent, as are European heavyweights Real Madrid, Liverpool and Bayern Munich. Manchester United and Barcelona were previously linked to him.

As the report mentions, Juventus signing Gravenberch will depend heavily on the management’s ability to offload a few player(s) in order to make way for him. He is currently valued at €35m, according to transfermarkt, and any offer in that range is expected to meet Ajax’s demands.
