Leandro Paredes has been routinely linked to Serie A sides in the last few windows, and Juventus continue to consider him an option to bolster their midfield. The Argentinian international recently announced that he would stay at PSG. However, their new directors may think otherwise.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Bianconeri plot to propose a swap involving Moise Kean. It would allow them to kill two birds with one stone. They are looking for a taker for the striker, who had his best season in Ligue 1.
In such scenario, Juventus would buy out the youngster from Everton for €28M this summer and re-route him to Paris for Paredes, with the same valuation or slightly higher. The counterparty acquired the midfielder for €40M from Zenit in 2019.
The former Empoli and Roma player will lose an ally with the imminent sacking of Mauricio Pochettino. He was very comfortable in Italy. Plus, he would most likely have a bigger role if he transferred to Turin. Kean would be delighted to return to France, and the Parisians may need a backup striker once they complete their cull.
Our Take on Juventus Eyeing Paredes
The Old Lady will inevitably have to further address the midfield on top of adding Paul Pogba. While they lack in quality, they are pretty deep. In addition, three have youngsters that deserve consideration in the role. The PSG man would not be the most exciting signing but would address a need and increase their playmaking skills. However, the Bianconeri need to get rid of Arthur and/or Adrien Rabiot before bringing in new contributors.
