Juventus Closely Keeping Tabs on Two Napoli Forwards

Juventus have shortlisted a pair of Napoli strikers, Giovanni Simeone and Giacomo Raspadori, as they might need a new deputy later on. The Azzurri could be open for business and wouldn’t need to look far for a replacement. Walid Cheddira has won over Antonio Conte with his performances in the friendlies, Radio Kiss Kiss reports (via Tuttomercatoweb).

Fenerbahce and Valencia inquired about him, but he’s not for sale at this stage. They invested €7M to sign him for their sister club Bari last year. He scored 7 goals in 36 matches while on loan at Frosinone. In their ideal plans, he’d back up Romelu Lukaku after selling Victor Osimhen, but there are some problems on that front.

According to Goal, Juventus are eyeing Simeone and Raspadori because they are trying to offload Arkadiusz Milik. Brentford, West Ham, Sevilla, Bologna, and Genoa have shown some interest in the Pole, who voiced his desire to stay earlier in the summer. Moreover, his salary could be cumbersome for a smaller team.

Cristiano Giuntoli brought the Italian youngster to the Partenopei for €27M in the recent past. Thiago Motta also likes him for his versatility and wanted to sign him at Bologna. The Bianconeri are also eyeing Mateo Retegui for the same duties.

Our Take on the Juventus and Napoli Attack

Unless they get a robust off, the Old Lady is better off keeping Milik, who’s a fine backup and doesn’t have an excessive salary. Still, it wouldn’t hurt to add Raspadori to the mix, and a swap with Federico Chiesa, while very unlikely, would work out for both sides. The Genoa star is likely too expensive for the job.
