Juventus Keeping Tabs on Potential Alternatives to Vlahovic

Juventus might have the preference of the player, but that does not necessarily mean that they will land Dusan Vlahovic next summer. On the contrary, Fiorentina will do everything in their power to steer him towards foreign teams. Given the sums involved, a resolution is more likely to come at the end of the season than in January.

The Bianconeri do not want to be unprepared if they miss out on their primary target. Their interest in Mauro Icardi has waned a little. But they would still be ready to pounce if he was available on favorable terms. Still, they would prefer younger options given their new policy, Calciomercato.com informs.

Instead, Darwin Nunez would better fit the bill of what they are looking for. Some Juventus scouts were recently spotted at a Benfica game to watch him. He would be an expensive purchase as well, as his price tag is currently around €50M, and there will be plenty of competition. But it would be easier to negotiate with the Portuguese club than with Fiorentina. The 22-year-old Uruguayan forward has posted 22 goals and 14 assists in 57 appearances since joining the Eagles.

Gianluca Scamacca and Lorenzo Lucca are the other youngsters on Juventus radar. Instead, Alexandre Lacazette and Anthony Martial could become bargains down the line. As for Vlahovic, Tottenham and Antonio Conte are very high on him regardless of the future of Harry Kane, Alfredo Pedullà reports. Liverpool and Atletico Madrid could emerge as strong suitors next summer as well. Arsenal have fewer chances.
