Juventus List a Couple More Possible Vlahovic Deputies

Juventus might bolster their attack in January due to Arkadiusz Milik’s tricky injury history and have two names in their early shortlist, Udinese’s Lorenzo Lucca and Rennes’ Arnaud Kalimuendo. The Pole just had a second surgery on his knee and could be out for up to three months.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, the Bianconeri are following the Bianconeri striker, who had a solid start to the season, bagging five goals in eight appearances. He had hit the net eight times, plus four assists, in the entire 2023/2024 campaign. He’s being monitored by a few top Serie A teams. The Friulani acquired him from Pisa for nearly €9M, and he’s under contract until 2028.

In addition to Lucca, Juventus are keeping tabs on Kalimuendo, whom director Cristiano Giuntoli has been coveting for a few years, TuttoSport relays (via IlBianconero). His valuation is €20/25M. The PSG product has been at Rennes since 2022.

The 22-year-old has found the target in half of his six showings so far. Instead, he had done it 15 times across all competitions last season.

According to Relevo‘s Matteo Moretto, Jonathan David won’t renew his Lille contract.

Our Take on the Juventus, Lucca, and Kalimuendo

They are in a holding pattern for now, as they need to see if and how long it’ll take Milik to recover. They won’t need to do anything if he returns early and well, but that’s a big question mark. Plus, they need to decide whether they want a Dusan Vlahovic deputy or somebody who could potentially replace him down the line. If they have something to spend in January, they should do it to replenish the defense.
