Juventus outcast Arthur hasn’t bounced back at Liverpool, as a major muscular injury knocked him out for multiple months. His agent Federico Pastorello talked toTuttomercatoweb.
“It was a big blow, there’s no denying that. He was starting to be tested in their schemes and had closed the physical gap with the others that his situation at Juventus had created. He got hurt in incredible fashion too, making a simple pass. It’s something that happens once every ten years, unfortunately. It cost him the World Cup, since he had hopes because Tite liked that the move to Anfield. It was mentally tough to overcome it. However, he’s strong and determined, and he’s progressing very quickly. He’s three weeks ahead of his initial schedule and might be ready for the start of the second half of the season.”
Arthur won’t return to Turin in January, and the representative is hopeful his spell at Liverpool will be longer.
“He will 100 percent stay in the next window. We never thought otherwise, and I don’t know where these rumors came from. There’s no chance, and nobody ever doubted his permanence. As for next season, we’ll see. There isn’t a proper option to buy. If Massimiliano Allegri is still coaching Juventus, we’ll have to find a solution.”
“If the Reds wanted to renew the loan or make an offer, I think they’d found fertile ground. The transfer was born out of our stubbornness. They were keen in the past, but they didn’t have room. We stayed in touch and had some luck because they had some injuries late in the summer. Staying put was the last of our options. We put it together quickly on the penultimate day.”
