Juventus Looking to Offload Players Before Bidding for Manuel Locatelli

Juventus have long coveted Sassuolo breakout star Manuel Locatelli but will have to make some sales to finance the acquisition. The two likeliest candidates to leave are Aaron Ramsey and Adrien Rabiot, who joined the club two years ago on free transfers, but whose wages are quite cumbersome, Calciomercato.com reports. Alex Sandro and Federico Bernardeschi also made the list of players that could depart the Bianconeri in the summer.

The Old Lady tried to sign the 23-year-old midfielder in October, but the Neroverdi turned down a formula similar to the one used for Federico Chiesa and want €40M on the nail. Juventus are willing to meet the asking price but will have to bring in some resources first. The deep-pocketed Manchester City are also after Locatelli.

Both Ramsey and Rabiot are making €7M per year. While the latter has been a regular and showed signs of improvement, the front office would consider cashing in on him for the right offer. Everton are in the running because Carlo Ancelotti is a big fan of the Frenchman after coaching him at PSG.

On the other hand, it will be hard to find a new home for Ramsey due to his salary and ever precarious health, Goal.com indicates. The contribution former Gunner has been appreciated by coaches Maurizio Sarri and Andrea Pirlo, but he has been unable to stay healthy during his time in Turin. He has made 61 appearances in two years, but he has started just half of them due to multiple muscular problems.
