Juventus Maintain Interest in Underused Napoli Attacker

Juventus have started searching for a new offensive weapon in January considering Arkadiusz Milik’s injury, and Giacomo Raspadori has resurfaced as an option. The Bianconeri have tracked him multiple times in the past. Director Cristiano Giuntoli obviously brought him to Napoli.

According to TuttoSport (via Informazione), the Bianconeri are scouring the market. It’s possible they’ll end up signing a cheap option from abroad. Still, the director and Thiago Motta are big fans of the Partenopei attacker. The coach was keen on bringing him to Bologna already.

It remains to be seen whether the Azzurri will be willing to negotiate with Juventus for Raspadori even though he has continued to have a secondary role despite several coaching changes.

He has played six times so far but saw substantial minutes only before Romelu Lukaku joined and got in shape and in Coppa Italia. He has logged three minutes in the last four Serie A fixtures combined.

The Partenopei won the race for the former Sassuolo striker in 2022 with a €32M offer plus add-ons. He has tallied 12 goals and 9 assists in 86 fixtures with them.

They wouldn’t big wrong in targeting somebody who could play next to Dusan Vlahovic and in other roles too. However, even though he hasn’t fully panned out with the Azzurri, his price tag is still robust given how much they disburse. Even if there’s room to haggle, the Bianconeri’s January budget is a big question mark, and the Partenopei aren’t that desperate to offload him to help a rival by agreeing to an advantageous formula.
