Juventus Make Progress in Nico Gonzalez Pursuit

Serie A giants Juventus are reportedly making strides in their pursuit of Fiorentina star winger Nicolas Gonzalez. According to Calciomercato, there’s still a gap in the financial details, but both clubs proceed with negotiations in good faith.

Juventus have intensified their interest in Gonzalez after Borussia Dortmund’s staggering demands priced them out of a move for Karim Adeyemi. Thiago Motta has identified the 26-year-old as a better fit for his tactical set-up than other Biancioneri targets, such as Galeno and Francisco Conceicao.

Despite Atalanta’s hope of landing the 2024 Copa America winner, Juventus are in the driver’s seat to secure the forward’s signature. The Turin giants are ready to inflict a double transfer blow on Gian Piero Gasperini’s side.

In addition to Gonzalez, Juventus are close to signing Teun Koopmeiners after agreeing on personal terms with the player behind Atalanta’s back. Such an approach hasn’t gone well with the Gewiss Stadium hierarchy. However, Motta is seemingly taking no prisoners in his bid to assemble a title-winning squad.

Gonzalez’s arrival would be a massive coup for Juventus. But they must find common ground with Fiorentina. La Viola are open to letting their ace go on loan with an obligation to buy. Yet, they seek €30 million to sanction the deal.

Meanwhile, Juventus want to drive the price down by introducing their outcast, Weston McKennie, as a counterpart. The USMNT midfielder was on Fiorentina’s earlier in the summer. Therefore, Motta’s men hope to kill two birds with one stone.

Tired of reading speculations. Guintoli should close out deals immediately. It’s already becoming frustrating
