Juventus Making Headway in Negotiation with Vlahovic

Dusan Vlahovic is tied to Juventus for three more years, but the management is going full-steam ahead in the discussions to extend his contract. The negotiation started in late August when it was clear he would stay put and has been advancing. They met with his agent Darko Ristic in the last few days, La Gazzetta dello Sport informs.

The parties examined a few options. The most concrete one is to add a year to his deal to dilute his bonuses. That would make his wages more sustainable for the club’s finances. He’s on par with Adrien Rabiot in terms of base salary, €7M, but he gets hefty sizeable add-ons if he and the team fare well.

The dialogue between Juventus and the Vlahovic camp will continue over the phone in the coming weeks. If things proceed as expected, there could be a key meeting after the match against Inter on November 26th.

The Bianconeri recently extended the contract of Federico Gatti and will officialize the new deals of Manuel Locatelli and Nicolò Fagioli soon, the outlet adds.

Our Take on Juventus and Vlahovic

Their new course has a couple more relics of the lavish Fabio Paratici era to fix before being in a decent spot. The reports about the figures of the Serb are always a bit murky. Coming to terms on a new deal is a necessity and would be a major achievement.
