Juventus, Max Allegri Rules Out Morata Departure: “Case Closed”

After Xavi Hernandez made his admiration known earlier for Juventus striker Alvaro Morata, links have intensified between the Spanish forward and Barcelona. The Blaugrana even made a swap offer for him, intending to send Dutchman Memphis Depay the other way round to Turin.

However, Juventus are not said to be interested in Depay as Massimiliano Allegri prefers to have a pure center-forward in his ranks.

The Italian tactician has now come forward with a stinging revelation that will deter Barcelona from making moves for the ex-Real Madrid striker.

In a recent interview (via MARCA), Allegri has disclosed that he is happy with Morata, citing that he is an important player for his team.

“Alvaro is an important player and I am happy. I have spoken with him and told him that he is not leaving, despite the rumors, so he is looking forward to it. Case closed.”

Morata has scored 7 goals and provided 3 assists in 24 appearances for the Bianconeri this season.
