The Bianconeri are not looking to cash in any fee as they would be content with shedding his bloated salary off the books. The Welshman was linked to Wolverhampton in the summer and to Newcastle after the recent ownership change. A clause in his contract has discouraged his farewell in the past, as his agents pocket a bonus in each window he stays put. He is tied to Juventus until 2023. The Welshman has logged just five appearances so far, starting once, for a total of 111 minutes. He has not been available in the past month because of a lingering thigh injury. The 30-year-old joined the Old Lady from Arsenal on a free transfer in 2019.
