Juventus midfielder Teun Koopmeiners has praised his teammate Dusan Vlahovic after a comprehensive 3-0 rout of Genoa on Saturday. Thiago Motta’s side ended a three-match winless run in Serie A with another multi-goal margin win, not to mention without conceding.
The new Juventus playmaker had his hand in the victory as he set up Vlahovic for the second goal. However, he squandered a golden chance to score his first-ever goal in the Bianconeri shirt. Unmarked inside the six-yard box, the former Atalanta star hit the crossbar after Francisco Conceicao’s delightful delivery from the wing.
While Koopmeiners embarrassed himself with that miss, Vlahovic broke a long-running scoring duck with a match-winning double in the second half. Before latching on to Koopmeiners’ assist, the Serbia international scored from the spot to break the deadlock minutes after the halftime interval.
It was important for Vlahovic to return to the scoresheet. He was under heavy scrutiny over the past few weeks. Koopmeiners recognizes his teammate’s hunger for goals and lauds his team’s second-half performance.

Juventus posted their first league win since August as they remain the only team in Europe’s traditional top-five leagues yet to concede this season.
