Juventus, Milan and Inter Keeping Tabs on Pisa and Serie B Revelation

Lorenzo Lucca is off to a blistering start with Pisa in Serie B. He has bagged five goals in six games, one in every 87 minutes. He came out of nowhere as he had just one campaign with the pros, in Serie C with Palermo, under his belt. The striker has the third-best scoring average in the second division of the top five leagues. Only Gianluca Lapadula and Schalke 04’s Simon Terodde, who are significantly older, have been more prolific, La Nazione indicates.

After spending time in Vicenza, Torino and Brescia’s youth systems, without emerging, Lucca had to move to Serie D, to the re-born Palermo, to find minutes. The following year, he started to blossom with the Rosanero, and Pisa scooped him up for €2M. The Nerazzurri are set to make a huge profit on their investment because Juventus, Inter, and Milan are tracking him, La Gazzetta dello Sport informs.

Lucca has a massive physique and has demonstrated a great nose for the goal. He has drawn comparisons with Luca Toni and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Paolo Nicolato, the coach of Italy U-21, has made him the linchpin of his new course. Roberto Mancini is mulling calling him up to take a closer look as well.

The center-forward could fetch €10M right away if a top club decided to acquire him a leave him on loan. Juventus might have an advantage in the race. Pisa recently hired Claudio Chiellini, Giorgio’s brother and previously an executive for the Bianconeri, as their sporting director.
