Juventus, Napoli and Atalanta Monitor Udinese Loanee Starlet

Hellas Verona youth product Destiny Udogie, who is on loan at Udinese for the 2021/22 campaign, is fast growing into one of Serie A’s best young fullbacks. The left-footed Italian-Nigerian wing-back made his senior debut in November 2020 and has since regularly racked in game time to develop into a mature player.

His impressive performances in Udine has lured the attention of a handful of Italian elite, according to transfer market pundit Nicolo Schira. Napoli, Juventus and Atalanta are keeping close tabs on the 19-year-old’s development.

Of the three, Juventus are the club to have been linked the longest, having made their interest known during the recently concluded winter transfer window.

He is reportedly one of the three names shortlisted by the Bianconeri, with their mainstay and Chelsea target Alex Sandro reportedly up on the outbound transfer list. Udogie is among the names of AZ Alkmaar talent Owen Wijndal and promising Genoa prospect Andrea Cambiaso as Juventus’ future targets, as reported by Calciomercato.

The Verona-born fullback currently represented Italy U21 and is poised for a big career move down the lane. Udinese have signed him up on a one-season loan with an obligation to buy set with certain conditions at the end of the season. Udogie has a transfermarkt value of €7m, making him an affordable target for interested clubs.

He has two goals an one assist in 25 appearances for the Friuli this campaign.
