Juventus Not Planning a Big Investment Up Front for Now

Juventus have been attached to a few wingers early in the summer but aren’t close to landing any of them. The Bianconeri could indeed add a player in such a role later on but aren’t looking to invest big there at this stage, Alfredo Pedullà informs.

The Old Lady plots to use most of its budget in the midfield. They’ll hunt for another man once completing the Douglas Luiz deal. Khephren Thuram appears closer than Youssouf Fofana currently.

Instead, Juventus are primarily searching for a high-profile loan out wide. They inquired with Manchester United about Mason Greenwood and Jadon Sancho. The latter could be a viable solution if the conditions were right. Instead, the Red Devils prefer selling the Englishman.

The Bianconeri kicked the tires on Real Sociedad’s Mike Oyarzabal and Borussia Dortmund’s Karim Adeyemi. However, they are expensive and won’t leave their teams temporarily. Plus, the latter is pacey but doesn’t exclusively feature on the flank.

Our Take on Juventus Hunting for Wingers

It’s a natural stance as they might not technically even need a new piece should they keep all those already in their squad. It’s far from certain and probably unlikely, but those situations will need time to be sorted, and they’ll eventually put the pedal to the medal only afterward. In addition to those at the top of the pecking order, Federico Chiesa and Matias Soulé, they have to decide what to do with Timothy Weah and Filip Kostic, who might transition to more defensive roles if they stay.
