Juventus Offer Atleti Swap for Premier League-Linked Morata

Spanish striker Alvaro Morata has been an ever-present player in each of the previous transfer market windows, and the upcoming summer market is going to be no different, who looks likely to depart Juventus and head back to his native country, but maybe not for long.

However, the Bianconeri are keen on retaining the striker for a third successive season despite the deadline to activate his €35M buyout clause having passed by recently. Unwilling to pay the required amount to Atletico Madrid, Juventus are planning to modify the terms of the deal by offering a swap involving Morata, according to Spanish outlet Marca.

The Old Lady is hoping to offer Moise Kean, and in return cut down on the aforementioned fee. The Italians have less than three weeks to boil down a deal, after which the Spaniard would be on his way back to the Wanda Metropolitano post two topsy-turvy loan seasons in Turin.

According to Calciomercato.it, three Premier League clubs, along with Spanish giants Barcelona, are keeping close tabs on Morata’s development: Arsenal, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur. However, it is understood that the striker would prefer to move back to Spain instead of England, where he spent two subpar seasons in the blue of Chelsea from 2017 to 2019.

The 29-year-old is contracted with Atletico until the summer of 2023. Juventus could also propose a new loan spell to bring back Morata, with a €10M fee and a €10M obligation to buy, Tuttosport reports. He would have to extend with the Colchoneros first.
