Juventus Player Ratings vs Bologna: Milik Atonement Rescues a Point

At the Renato Dall’Ara Stadium, Bologna hosted Juventus in the closing curtain of Serie A Round 32. Riccardo Orsolini converted from the spot to put the home side in the lead early on. Arkadiusz Milik could have replied in the same fashion, but made a mess out of his penalty kick. The Pole atoned himself by scoring the equalizer in the second half, but it only rescued a single point for the visitors. So here are our player ratings for Juventus who remain third in the Serie A table following a 1-1 draw in Bologna.

Juventus (4-3-3)

Wojciech Szczesny – 7

A superb display from the former Arsenal man who pulled off a series of vital saves to deny Musa Barrow, Josua Zirkzee and company. He was only beaten from the spot by Orsolini.

Juan Cuadrado – 5.5

The Colombian darted forward constantly but couldn’t provide glorious opportunities for his teammates. He looked shaky at the back, similar to the rest of the defensive bunch.

Federico Gatti – 5.5

The Italian defender could have cost his side dearly by failing to clear the ball, gifting Michel Aebischer a crack at goal.

Danilo – 5.5

The Juventus captain made some important clearances throughout the match, but his display is plagued by his early challenge on Orsolini which gave Bologna the lead.

Alex Sandro – 4.5

A horrendous outing from the Brazilian who fell to the ground rather easily following an aerial duel with Orsolini which culminated in the Rossoblu’s goal. He also misjudged a cross which almost resulted in another strike for the hosts.

Nicolò Fagioli – 6

Despite his early exit, the former Cremonese man was having a decent display. But he’ll regret missing a double chance where he was stunningly denied by top-notch saves from Lukasz Skorupski.

Manuel Locatelli – 6

The Euro 2020 winner managed to pick up the runs of his teammates with some clever through balls.

Adrien Rabiot – 5.5

The Frenchman worked hard to retrieve the ball, but lacked quality in possession. He was particularly wasteful with his passing.

Federico Chiesa – 6

While it wasn’t vintage Chiesa, the winger was the most dangerous Juventus player in the first half. He launched the attack that led to Milik’s spot-kick and put Fagioli through on goal.

Arkadiusz Milik – 6.5

Kudos to the Pole for winning a penalty kick, but the execution was as terrible as it gets. Luckily, he made up for it by putting a low drive past his compatriot Skorupski in the second half.

Filip Kostic – 4.5

The Serbian is enduring a negative run at the moment. At times he failed to control the simplest of balls. Give the man some rest.

Substitutes

Matias Soulé – 5

The Argentine rarely got on the ball, and wasted a golden opportunity to snatch a winner for Juventus with the entire goal at his mercy.

Samuel Iling-Junior – 6.5

The Englishman set the left flank ablaze following his introduction. His movements on the ball were behind most of the Bianconeri’s chances in the second half, including Milik’s equalizer.

Fabio Miretti – 5.5

The young Italian added little to the cause after replacing Chiesa.

Dusan Vlahovic – N/A

Leandro Paredes – N/A
