In the final Serie A fixture of 2022, Juventus earned their sixth victory in a row while maintaining another clean sheet. The Bianconeri hosted Maurizio Sarri’s Lazio at the Allianz Stadium in Turin and seemed eager to end the year on a high note. Moise Kean chipped the ball over the advanced Ivan Provedel to break the deadlock before adding the second from the easiest of rebounds. Arkadiusz Milik secured the win with a third goal late in the match. So here are our Juventus player ratings following their impressive victory over Lazio.
Juventus (3-5-2)
Wojciech Szczesny – 6.5
The Poland international warmed up for the World Cup with another confident display. Made some routine saves early on, but Anderson made him work for his clean sheet in the final minutes.
Federico Gatti – 6.5
The Italian defender had some nervy moments, but was solid overall. Displayed his impressive distribution from the back by picking up Kostic on several occasions with some splendid diagonal balls.
Gleison Bremer – 6.5
The former Torino man had Felipe Anderson in his pocket for the majority of the match, but Pedro gave him an early scare, forcing him to get a booking in the process.
Danilo – 6.5
The Brazilian was less adventurous than usual, but aside from one nerve-racking occasion that saw him dispossessed in front of his own goal, he did well at the back, limiting Luka Romero’s danger and making some decisive blocks.
Juan Cuadrado – 6
The Colombian isn’t in his optimal form at the moment, and wasted possession on some occasions. However, he did well to track back and block Pedro’s shot. His display improved as the match progressed.
Nicolò Fagioli – 6.5
The young Italian didn’t deliver his most vibrant display following his recent brilliant outings. Nonetheless, he helped his teammates in winning the midfield battle. Rarely lost possession.
Manuel Locatelli – 7.5
The Euro 2020 winner completely bossed the middle of the park while also shielding the backline. Found Kostic with a fantastic cross which ultimately led to the second Juventus goal.
Adrien Rabiot – 7.5
The former PSG man is enjoying his best hour in Turin, and he proved it once again on Sunday. He was the catalyst behind the opener as he easily stole the ball from Sergej Milinkovic-Savic before feeding Kean with a precise long ball.
Filip Kostic – 7
The Serbian winger was a menace for Lazio on the left lane. Delivered several clinical crosses to the box. His excellent control and low drive allowed Kean to double the lead as he latched on to the rebound.
Arkadiusz Milik – 8
The former Napoli man worked extremely hard from start to finish. Threatened the visitors early on with a stunning control and shot. He dispossessed Danilo Cataldi just ahead of Kean’s second goal, before quite deservedly putting his name on the scoresheet following a smart movement.
Moise Kean – 8
The Everton loanee looked like a man possessed right from the get-go. Took advantage of Provedel’s ill-advised exit to score a lovely lob. Showed his hitman instinct by running goalward to pounce on the rebound and give Juventus a two-goal lead.
