Juventus climbed the top of the Serie A table by earning their second 3-0 win in a row, this time at the expense of their hosts, Hellas Verona. Dusan Vlahovic broke the deadlock, while Nicolò Savona marked his full senior debut with a goal to double the Old Lady’s lead before half-time. After the break, Samuel Mbangula won a spot-kick, allowing Vlahovic to bag a brace. So here are our player ratings for Juventus who beat Verona by three unanswered goals as they continue to enjoy life under Motta’s reign.

Juventus (4-2-3-1)

Michele Di Gregorio – 6

For the second match in a row, the former Monza goalkeeper hardly broke a sweat on the road towards earning a clean sheet. Though he did pull off a save late in the match.

Nicolò Savona – 7.5

A brilliant full debut from the young right-back who had a goal disallowed early in the match which proved to be an omen for a legitimate strike shortly afterwards. The right-back opened his Serie A account with a lovely lobbed header to beat Lorenzo Montipo. He was also reliable at the back.

Federico Gatti – 6.5

A calm and collected display from the stand-in Juventus captain who kept the ball rolling at the back.

Gleison Bremer – 7.5

While the Bianconeri made it look easy by dismantling their visitors, Verona would have had much more joy if it wasn’t for the robust Brazilian who made a series of crucial interceptions. A beast of a defender.

Juan Cabal – 6.5

Another encouraging showing from the Colombian who held his own against his former teammates, even though he gave his side a few scares with poor passes at the back.

Manuel Locatelli – 7

A convincing showing from the former Sassuolo man who was given the license to roam forward. Tested Montipo with a superb long-range effort early on, and then won back possession which directly led to the opening goal.

Nicolò Fagioli – 6.5

Aside from giving away a free-kick in a dangerous position, the Juventus youth product looked calm and composed while operating in a deep position and pulling the strings in the middle of the park.

Andrea Cambiaso – 6.5

The Italy international started as a right winger, but was almost everywhere on the pitch, and played an essential role in the second goal. Not bad for someone who’s being played out of position.

Kenan Yildiz – 6.5

The Turkish teenager provided the assist for Vlahovic’s opener with a simple yet clever pass. He made himself involved in almost every play, but would have loved to find the back of the net himself.

Samuel Mbangula – 7.5

The young Belgian produced yet another influential display. Although he didn’t put his name on the scoresheet this time, he provided the assist for Savona’s goal and then won the penalty kick for the third goal.

Dusan Vlahovic – 7.5

The Serbian is beginning to reap the rewards of this new Juventus side. Although he didn’t have a long highlight reel, he made the most out of the chances that came his way, producing a clinical finish to beat Montipo on the opener, and then keeping his composure from the spot. The Serbian has thus announced his candidacy for the Capocannoniere Award by opening his account for the season.
