Juventus Poised for Key Meetings for the Future of Their Biggest Stars

The Juventus management will try to find a solution to their two biggest dominos in the next few days. Jorge Mendes, the agent of Cristiano Ronaldo, is in Italy to negotiate the transfer of Rui Patricio with Roma. Jorge Antun, the representative of Paulo Dybala, will fly to the Peninsula next week. La Joya and the front office will rekindle the extension talks, La Gazzetta dello Sport informs.

Ronaldo has yet to openly state that he will stay in Turin next season. Mendes has touched base with multiple teams, but the only possible alternative is PSG. Although, he has not brought any real offer to Juventus. The intermediary could suggest extending the contract of the striker till 2023. However, the Bianconeri would likely table the discussion for a later time. The move would be beneficial financially if the Portuguese ace reduced his annual wages to tack on an extra year.

Juventus will start from scratch on the Dybala contract. Fabio Paratici conducted the previous negotiation, now it will be up to Federico Cherubini and CEO Maurizio Arrivabene. The return of Massimiliano Allegri will help as the Argentinian attacker had his best seasons under him. They want to avoid losing him for nothing in 2022, but they do not intend to offer more than €10M per year. On his part, Dybala wants reassurances that he will have a starring role in the new course, the newspaper adds. He is coming off the toughest season of his career, as a lingering knee problem limited him to 26 matches and 5 goals.
