Juventus Preparing Tangible Offer for Atalanta Midfielder

Juventus are reportedly growing confident of signing Atalanta star Teun Koopmeiners despite already landing two midfielders. According to Fabrizio Romano, the Turin giants will soon resume talks with La Dea over the Dutchman’s switch to the Allianz Stadium.

After speculation over Bianconeri’s renewed interest in the 26-year-old, Juventus are ready to send an opening bid in the coming days. It’s been a busy start to the summer for Thiago Motta’s team. Following Douglas Luiz’s arrival from Aston Villa, they’re on the verge of capturing Khephren Thuram from Nice.

The highly-rated midfielder is one step away from joining Juventus. The clubs have found a crucial breakthrough in talks, with the Frenchman expected in Italy to undergo medicals before penning a multi-year contract. But Juventus will seemingly not stop there.

With Adrien Rabiot’s future in Turin surrounded by a veil of mystery, Juventus are in the market for another midfield reinforcement. Koopmeiners has long been on the club’s shortlist, though they’ve never made concrete steps to price him out of Atalanta.

Since Rabiot is closer to leaving Juventus than extending his contract, Motta’s men are ready to step up their pursuit of the former AZ Alkmaar man. Koopmeiners has been among the best-performing midfielders in Serie A since moving to Atalanta in 2021.

Last season, Koopmeiners racked up 15 goals and seven assists across 51 appearances in all competitions, helping Atalanta win the Europa League against the odds. It might’ve been the best parting gift as he looks to team up with Juventus in the coming weeks.
