Juventus Put Napoli on Alert with Giuntoli Ultimatum

Juventus have reportedly handed Napoli an ultimatum with regards to the availability of sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli. It goes without saying that Partenopei chief Aurelio De Laurentiis is unwilling to see Giuntoli join their arch-rivals, but the Bianconeri are running out of patience.

Latest reports from La Repubblica (via TuttoNapoli) indicate that Juventus will wait for an answer from Napoli until the end of the day i.e. June 30, before giving up on their advances. It is no secret of the Bianconeri’s wish to onboard Giuntoli, however, the club want to see operations up and running from July 1, especially with regard to the transfer market.

De Laurentiis does not wish to free the 51-year-old executive, whose contract with the Scudetto winners expires in June 2024. With the added pressure, Juventus are now on the verge of signing Giuntoli, but will make do without his services if they do not receive a confirmation by the end of the day.

If Giuntoli arrives in Turin, he is expected to work in collaboration alongside existing director Giovanni Manna.
