Giovanni Bia, the agent of Andrea Cambiaso, confirmed that Milan inquired about his client while they were searching for a deputy left-back last summer. He spoke with Tuttomercatoweb.
“A pair of Italian teams were after him in the past window. The Rossoneri came forward, and three or four Premier League sides were very interested. We weren’t surprised that Juventus deemed him untouchable. They would have sold him only for 25/30M.”
The Bianconeri tried to bring him back early last season.
“Juventus did everything they could to recall in January, but Bologna stonewalled them as they didn’t want to give up such an important player. It was the right choice since Cambiaso arrived in Turin with more experience.”
Bia isn’t pressing the management for a new contract.
“I think it’s too early. He has a long-term deal already and will have to work hard to prove his worth. Then, Juventus will relay their intentions in due time. We’re not thinking about it at all at the moment. He’s just focused on playing and doing well, then the other things will come naturally.”
Cambiaso is aiming at the Scudetto, even though the Bianconeri have avoided such talk.
“He dreams of winning it, as all his teammates to. When you get on the pitch, it’s logical that you try to come out on top in every game.”
