Juventus Reach Agreement in Principle with Ousmane Dembele

As Frenchman Ousmane Dembele’s contract talks with Barcelona broke down, it is reported that the player and his agent have an agreement in principle with Juventus for a move next summer.

According to the report from Spanish outlet SPORT, Dembele only has an agreement in principle – meaning that he has not signed a pre-contract agreement with the Bianconeri as he is still waiting for an offer from French giants Paris Saint-Germain.

Along with PSG, Manchester United are also said to have submitted a formal offer. Newcastle United and Arsenal are also prospective suitors.

The Frenchman has been plagued by injuries all throughout his Barcelona career and the subsequent the lack of game time. With his contract expiring in June 2022, the former Dortmund forward has long been touted to leave Camp Nou in search of regular playing minutes.

Barcelona on the other hand, will be keen to take the 24-year-old’s wages off the club’s books given the club’s perilous financial condition. It remains to be seen what Juventus will offer the versatile French forward, as the Old Lady presently suffer from a similar financial situation as their Spanish counterparts.
