Juventus could inflict another transfer blow on Atalanta after deciding to focus on Fiorentina winger Nicolas Gonzalez over Porto’s Galeno. According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Thiago Motta’s men have earmarked the Argentine star as Federico Chiesa’s replacement as the new Bianconeri boss looks to remove the Itailan’s wages off the club’s books.
As if approaching standout midfielder Teun Koopmeiners behind Atalanta’s back wasn’t troubling enough, Juventus are determined to add insult to injury by landing Gonzalez. Gian Piero Gasperini’s charges are furious with the Turin giants’ sneaky move to convince the Dutch playmaker to come to the Allianz Stadium.
Koopmeiners has refused to take part in pre-season training since agreeing on personal terms with Juventus. In addition to working around the clock to price the Atalanta talisman out of Bergamo, the record-time Serie A champions are keen to intensify their pursuit of Gonzalez despite facing competition from La Dea.
Gonzalez is reportedly eager to depart Fiorentina following another trophyless campaign.
