Ex-Inter striker Mauro Icardi will need to reduce his demands if he wishes to move to the Nerazzurri’s bitter Serie A rivals Juventus.
Max Allegri’s Bianconeri have long been known to be searching for a pure in-the-box number nine and the Argentinian marksman exactly fits the bill.
According to reports from Il Messaggero (via TUTTOmercatoweb), Juventus will only sign the Paris Saint-Germain outcast if it means that he will make a significant sacrifice regarding his salary.
The arrival of Lionel Messi from Barcelona dictated the end of Icardi’s hopes of etching his place in the first team. Kylian Mbappe and Neymar now make up the front line along with La Pulga and it means Icardi has so far struggled for proper game time at the Parc des Princes.
Juventus presently cannot afford huge bills due to their precarious financial position – since when the pandemic first started. They will require Icardi to reduce from the current whopping €10m net per season wages he earns in Paris.
The Bianconeri will also require the Parisians to agree to a six-month loan deal before he can make the move.
If two of these wishes are fulfilled, the Argentine forward could be looking at a Serie A future.
