Juventus Retain Interest in Borussia Dortmund Starlet

Juventus didn’t make many moves as far as their first team is concerned but signed a few youngsters to bolster their Next Gen squad and tried to get Abdoulaye Kamara from Borussia Dortmund too, but the Bundesliga outfit rebuffed them. The Bianconeri remain keen on the young midfielder and will make further attempts in the future, Fabrizio Romano relays.

The 18-year-old transferred to Germany in 2021 on a Bosman move from PSG. Per La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Old Lady attempted to snap him up on a season-long loan with a €3/4M option to buy. His contract lasts until 2025. He has made 35 appearances, scoring once and providing 4 assists, with the second team of Die Schwarzgelben.

While Juventus couldn’t sign Kamara in recent weeks, they brought in a few new talents from abroad and other Italian clubs. They added Diken Salifou from Werder Bremen, Riccardo Stivanello from Bologna, and Oscar Damiani from Palermo on loan. Instead, they signed Livano Comenencia from PSV outright, shelling out €3M. He has already featured 60 times in the Keuken Kampion Divisie.

The new-look Juventus Next Gen, which saw most of his previous regular contributors depart toward Serie B, are off to a rocky start, though. They lost 1-3 to Zdenek Zeman-led Pescara.
