Some Juventus scouts attended Wednesday’s match between Spezia and Atalanta to monitor Jakub Kiwior and Emil Holm. They have a need in their respective positions, Calciomercato reports.
The center-back is in high demand and was part of Poland’s squad for the World Cup. He has been insistently linked to Milan in the past, but they didn’t manage to get him before he fully blossomed. Roma and multiple foreign clubs are hot on his trail too.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Juventus are interested in Kiwior and Holm, but there’s no ongoing negotiation to sign the former. His agents recently spoke with Spezia, which wish to keep ahold of him in the winter. They haven’t received formal bids yet. RB Leipzig are after him in case they lose Josko Gvardiol.
As for the Swedish prodigy, he’s one of the names the Bianconeri are keeping an eye on since they are likely to part ways with both Juan Cuadrado and Alex Sandro at the end of their expiring contracts.
Our Take on Juventus, Holm, and Kiwior
It’s dubious the Old Lady will actually do anything in January but, if they stay in Liguria as it seems, it could be a very alluring packaged deal for the summer. Holm has been brilliant and supremely energetic in his short time in Serie A. Alex Sandro has permanently moved to the back-three so, with Filip Kostic taking possession of the left flank, they’ll need a lefty defender more than a wing-back, and the Pole is a slam-dunk prospect.
