Danilo might add another top club to his resume, although Bayern Munich would need to make a substantial economic effort to sign him. The German powerhouses are seeking a right-back and reached out to Juventus. However, the Bianconeri prefer to keep him, Gianluca Di Marzio reports.

They asked for €30M to part ways with the Brazilian international. It was deemed too much by Bayern Munich, considering that he is 30 and also has rich wages. They will not move forward with the negotiation at these conditions, the transfer market expert adds.

It remains to be seen whether the Bavarians will revisit their position in the future. They have done business with Juventus multiple times in the past. Their latest deal involved Douglas Costa, who played for both sides on loan in recent years. Moreover, the Old Lady has shortlisted Corentin Tolisso among the alternative targets if they could not get Manuel Locatelli.

Danilo moved to Turin in 2019 as part of the Joao Cancelo package for a €37M evaluation. He had a shaky first season with Maurizio Sarri at the helm. Afterward, he became a linchpin of the formation under Andrea Pirlo, exploiting his versatility. He featured on either flank, as center-back, and occasionally as holding midfielder in the 2020-2021 campaign.

The defender has accumulated 78 appearances with Juventus, scoring two goals and setting up four teammates. The club would have to look for a replacement if he left, as Juan Cuadrado and Mattia De Sciglio are currently the only other options at right-back.
