Juventus Set to Bring Moise Kean Back to Replace Outgoing Cristiano Ronaldo

Juventus are reportedly on the verge of re-signing Moise Kean from Everton in the wake of Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure for Manchester United. According to reputed journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, the prodigious forward will be in Italy tomorrow to undergo his medical after I Bianconeri agreed on a loan deal with the Toffees.

Ronaldo’s exit this late in the transfer window has left Juventus supporters stunned. The Portuguese superstar boarded a private jet on Friday to return to Old Trafford. His sudden departure left Massimiliano Allegri short of attacking options, forcing the Turin outfit to act quickly.

In the absence of high-profile opportunities in the market, Juventus have decided to move in the direction of a familiar face in the shape of Kean. The 21-year-old, who enjoyed a prolific season-long loan at Paris Saint-Germain last season, will soon wear I Bianconeri colors again.

Per Di Marzio, Kean will arrive on a one-year loan with an obligation to buy for €20m as part of the club’s effort to stay competitive on multiple fronts this term. Capped nine times by Italy, the youngster has never really hit the ground running since his €27.5m move to the Premier League in August 2019.

However, Kean was nothing short of outstanding for PSG in 2020/21, registering 19 goals from 45 competitive appearances for the Ligue 1 heavyweights last term. That, coupled with some pleasant memories from his first stint at the Allianz Stadium, should fill the Italian forward with confidence.

Not that his task of emulating Ronaldo’s 29-goal season would be plain sailing, but Kean has the potential to become Juventus’ driving force under Allegri’s stewardship. Let’s not forget that the experienced tactician was the one to launch the striker’s senior career in Turin.

During the pair’s first stint together, Kean managed eight goals from 21 appearances at the age of 18. If Allegri can work his magic on the youngster again, Juventus fans could swiftly forget the traumatic experience caused by Ronaldo’s last-minute departure.
