Juventus Set to Sign and Loan out to Sampdoria Touted PSV Talent

Juventus are in advanced talks to add another piece to their collection of youngsters, but they will not rely on him in the 2021-2022 season. The Bianconeri are on the brink of acquiring Mohamed Ihattaren from PSV, but they will send him to Sampdoria to get regular playing time, Goal.com reports.

Juventus will spend €5/6M to purchase the attacker. Agent Mino Raiola, who brought Moise Kean back to Turin, was the mastermind of the deal. The Old Lady will get him at a discount price because his contract was up in 2022. He turned down an extension multiple times.

The attacker will temporarily transfer to the Blucerchiati after finalizing the move to Juventus. He debuted in the pros when he was 16-year-old with Mark Van Bommel at the helm. He has already featured in 74 matches with PSV, scoring 11 goals and providing 10 assists. Chelsea and Manchester City laid eyes on him in the past.

Ruud Van Nistelrooy coached him during his time in the youth academy. He told the site in a recent interview: “He grew exponentially. He arrived in the U-17 team early, and he was the youngest member of the squad. I thought he would need at least a season to develop and get acclimated, but he improved extremely rapidly.”

Ihattaren will be the fourth addition by Juventus this summer after Kaio Jorge, Manuel Locatelli, and Moise Kean. Sampdoria are rather thin offensively, and he can play in multiple offensive roles. The Blucerchiati have thus far rejected the offers for Mikkel Damsgaard.
