Juventus Short-List Torino and Roma Veterans for Reserve Position

While waiting for the biggest dominos to fall, Juventus are working on the fringes of the roster. They have to find a new backup goalkeeper since Gianluigi Buffon left and joined Parma. Mattia Perin would be a readymade option, but their preferred solution would be to sell him on a permanent deal.

If that indeed happened, Salvatore Sirigu would the top name for the role, Tuttomercatoweb reports. He will leave Torino this summer after four years. The Granata have already announced that Vanja Milinkovic-Savic and Etrit Berisha will be the pair for the upcoming campaign. President Urbano Cairo stated that he feels like the Italian international is no longer happy to be with the team.

Juventus face some competition for the 34-year-old goalkeeper. Genoa and Olympiakos are tracking him, and he would be a starter in those clubs. Therefore, he has to decide between having a secondary role in a bigger side or continuing to play regularly. The Grifone have had Perin on loan for the past two seasons. They would be happy to reunite with him, but they have not made an offer to acquire him, as the Old Lady instead wishes.

The Bianconeri are also keeping tabs on Antonio Mirante, who is currently a free agent. He started in few matches with Roma last season. As it is the case for Carlo Pinsoglio, he would help with the Champions League list as he is a home-grown product. After joining when he was 17, he had 7 appearances in the 2006/2007 season.
