Juventus Star Brushes Off PSG Reunion Chatter Again

Adrien Rabiot returned to the Parc de Princes on Thursday for the Euro qualifier against Ireland. He spent a few years at PSG in the past before moving to Italy. He was quizzed about a potential return by L’Equipe but quickly shot it down.

“I don’t think about that at all now. I’m focused on Juventus and France. I’m happy about what he did today, then we’ll see what will happen in the future.”

“I grew up in this stadium, played many matches, and lived a good chunk of my career here when I was younger. It’s always a pleasure to come back.”

Rabiot was linked to PSG early in the summer but had similar remarks and ended up re-upping his expiring contract with Juventus. The situation will be the same in a year since he penned just a seasonal deal.

The 28-year-old seemed destined to depart on a Bosman move, with Manchester United in the lead to capture his services. However, the Bianconeri managed to reel him and agree to a short-term pact.

Our Take on Rabiot, PSG, and Juventus

While other situations had an impact too, his permanence was the main reason they didn’t sign anybody in the midfield. Considering the level he reached last season, even a band-aid was worth it, but his name has been suspiciously missing from the recent buzz about their upcoming extensions.
