Juventus Star Remains in Real Madrid’s Crosshairs

Real Madrid’s interest in Juventus center-forward Dusan Vlahovic is alive despite a failed attempt to broker his switch to La Liga in the summer. According to Tuttomercatoweb, the Spaniards are ready to offer Bianconeri up to €10 million to sign the Serbia international on a short-term loan.

Juventus were reportedly willing to discuss Vlahovic’s sale during the transfer window just finished. However, they had set strict terms and refused to budge on them. With only a handful of sides capable of matching the Italians’ demands, the 23-year-old has eventually stayed at the Allianz Stadium.

It has turned out great for both Vlahovic and Juventus. The former Fiorentina marksman tallied four goals across the opening five Serie A rounds before sustaining an injury during a 4-2 defeat at Sassuolo. He has since missed two consecutive league matches and won’t be in contention for Saturday’s Derby della Mole against Torino.

Vlahovic’s proneness to injuries has started to annoy Juventus. Massimiliano Allegri has been without one of the club’s most expensive signings more often than not in the past two seasons. With Bianconeri’s patience running thin, Los Merengues’ quest to replace Karim Benzema could take the Serbian to Madrid.

If the rumors are true, Juventus could hardly resist the temptation. They forked out €70m to sign Vlahovic from Fiorentina in January 2022. But the player has not lived up to his massive price tag. So if an offer comes in, the Turin heavyweights will unlikely stay immune.
