Juventus Star Tracked by Man United Has Release Clause

Juventus will have their hands tied if a team puts a boatload of money on the table for Gleison Bremer, who’s reportedly being pursued by Manchester United. The defender has a variable release clause that amounts to €60/70M with some caveats, Alfredo Pedullà informs.

Its validity can be postponed to the summer of 2025 through a €500k pay rise. It was present in his original contract after he joined in a €44M move from Torino. A fairly recent renewal didn’t eliminate it.

Juventus have no plans to sell Bremer, but they’d inevitably have to consider it if Manchester United or other sides came close to the threshold. The center-back would have the final say on his destination. He’d prefer Real Madrid, Manchester City, or Liverpool at this stage, the transfer market expert reports.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Torino would receive 10 percent of the difference between €40M and the fee. Therefore, at most €3M. If the Brazilian departed, the Bianconeri would reinvest part of the income in a younger stud. Alessandro Buongiorno and Giorgio Scalvini would be on their shortlist.

Our Take on Juventus, Manchester United, and Bremer

It’d be better if release clauses didn’t even come close to a player’s value. On the other hand, even in normal situations, offers of that caliber would be turned down only for a handful of Serie A players. He probably wouldn’t be part of such a pool. He’s been solid since joining the Old Lady but not dominant and spotless in every game.
