Juventus Star Weighs In on Role, Relishes Competition

Adrien Rabiot dished on his position at Juventus and France and more in an interview with RMC Sport (via Mediaset).

“In Italy, when we say we have a good defense, we win games. It affects the way we attack too. Instead, the other way around isn’t necessarily true. You need to best the opponent to prevail. Being solid is gratifying.”

Rabiot commented on being a veteran leader.

“I can talk with the coach informally. I speak with a lot of people actually, as I always have something to say. Any lucid remark could be of interest. I can do that considering my status and experience. The continuity allowed me to become a reliable player in recent years. It’s important for any manager to have one. It was my goal to turn into that. I keep challenging myself and setting objectives. That’s what keeps me going.”

Rabiot dished on his tasks.

“I attack more with Juventus. The gaffer insists on going in the box. With France, I’m less focused on that and protect the defense instead. I can do both. I could score one or two goals per game, but I don’t key on that.”

Rabiot took stock of Serie A.

“It bounced back after COVID. It’s attracting good players from any location. Winning the title is a challenge. I’m happy to be part of it. The more complicated it gets, the more I enjoy myself.”
