A new era at Juventus is about to get underway as Thiago Motta prepares to take over from the sacked Massimiliano Allegri. Star frontman Dusan Vlahovic is enthusiastic about the new chapter in Turin, insisting the Bianconeri must return into the Scudetto frame after a four-year barren run.
“Juventus are one of the biggest clubs in the world, the biggest in Italy, and accustomed to winning trophies every year,” Vlahovic was adamant, as relayed by Sky Italia. “We were in the running for the Scudetto until February, but in the end, Inter won deservedly, and there are no doubts about that.
“This next season could be a launching pad for us. We’ve seen that we can do it, so Juventus must get back to winning the Scudetto, or at least having the ambition to do so.“
Motta’s impending arrival will change the face of Juventus. Unlike his predecessor, the soon-to-be-former Bologna manager encourages attacking-minded football. His different style of play can only spark optimism among the Bianconeri faithful after four forgettable years.
Among those who could benefit from Motta’s vision, Vlahovic occupies a special place. Not even Allegri’s destructive way of playing prevented the Serbia international from tallying 18 goals in 38 competitive appearances last term. The figures could only go up under Motta.
