Juventus Take an Interest in Productive Lille Attacker

Juventus are expected to overhaul their wings in the summer and have inserted Edon Zhegrova in their shortlist. The 25-year-old is having a stellar season. Director Cristiano Giuntoli completed his only two permanent signings, Timothy Weah and Tiago Djaló, from Lille.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, the Kosovar has a €15M price tag. He’s a lefty but prefers to play on the right to cut back. He has registered 11 goals and 9 assists in 40 matches across all competitions this campaign.

Juventus have earmarked Zhegrova as they might part ways with both Samuel Iling-Junior and Filip Kostic. They haven’t been able to extend the contract of the latter so far. He has a €20M price tag. Crystal Palace and some Saudi teams approached him in the last two windows.

The Bianconeri have been freshly tipped to bring in Felipe Anderson. However, while they made their proposal to bring him in for free, nothing is imminent yet.

Our Take on Juventus and Zhegrova

If they change their coach, or scheme to the very least, which they should do to save Federico Chiesa, a revolution will be inevitable. As a pure wingback, Kostic would be the worst fit and the first to go. Plus, his second season in Turin has been paltry.

They have surely created a connection with Lille, but they already control a player with the same traits, Matias Soulé. They could always cash in on the Argentine and sign somebody similar for less, but they’ll easily regret it down the line.
